Mozilla Releases Firefox 3 and Redefines the Web Experience

Endlich ist es so weit. ie entgültige Version ist seit heute um 19 Uhr verfügbar. Der Server von spreadkaioo.com, die einen Weltrekord brechen wollte ist scheinbar überlastet.



MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIF. & LONDON - June 17th, 2008 - Mozilla is today releasing Firefox® 3, a major update to its popular and acclaimed free, open source Web browser. It adapts to user preferences and offers better fitting matches over time. The Firefox 3 Library archives browsing history, bookmarks, and tags where they can be easily searched and organised. One-click bookmarking and tagging make it easy to remember, search and organise Web sites. The new full-page zoom displays any part of a Web page, up close and readable, in seconds.
Performance

Firefox 3 is built on top of the powerful new Gecko 1.9 platform, resulting in a safer, easier to use and more personal product. Firefox 3 now uses less memory while it’s running, and its redesigned page rendering and layout engine means users see Web pages two to three times faster than Firefox 2.
Security

Firefox 3 raises the bar for security. The new malware and phishing protection helps protect from viruses, worms, trojans and spyware to keep people safe on the Web. Im Radio hab ich gehört, die chancen stehen gut, dass Firefox ins Guinness Buch der Rekorde kommt

Ja der Weltrekord soll geschaft sein aber es hat anscheind vorher nie so einen Weltrekord gegeben, also war auch keiner an und für sich zu brechen!

Schön schön, intressant zu sehen wer wieviel gedownloadet hat. Das immer noch soviele auf den IE setzen, seltsam!

Ich hab mir den Firefox 3.0.1 auch installiert und ich finde den echt gut.
